Preserving Hollywood's History

The Gatsby Hollywood shares the same site as the historic Orchard Gables Cottage, which means this new home eco-friendly community is not only making history—it's also preserving it. Built in 1904, the Orchard Gables Cottage showcases Arts & Crafts and English Country Cottage Revival architecture. It was originally home to U.S. Senator Cornelius Cole, who founded California's Republican Party and served as confidant to Abraham Lincoln. Purchased by MasterCraft Homes and donated to the Hollywood branch of the Los Angeles Community Redevelopment Agency for preservation, this turn-of-the-century cottage will soon be restored and opened to the community as an arts and education community center.
